TBU Hurricanes Wins 7 - 2!!! (Season Record 4W - 1L)

The Hurricanes win another decisive victory with a 7 goal performance. The girls showed great determination and grit after being down by 2 goals during the early minutes of the match. The didn't deter The Hurricanes - they came roaring back and won the match by scoring 7 straight goals.

Special mention to Madelyn who scored 4 goals!! Way to go Madelyn - very proud of your game performance this week!!

Most of the match was played on the opponents half and it all starts with strong defensive play. Alisha and Chloe were the backbone of our team as time after time they didn't let the opposition break through. They both showed great improvement passing the ball out to their teammates and starting the offensive rush. The goal kicks and throw-ins were by far the best of any game they've played. They both saved several would be goals - extremely proud of their performance.

The mid-field play was excellent today. Both lines anchored by Madelyn & Jocelyn and supported by Mackensey and Lillian - they were responsible for six out of our seven goals. The opposition had a hard time crossing the midfield with possession of the ball. The girls got after it today leading to several scoring chance opportunities and break away goals scored. Jocelyn scored 2 goals and Madelyn 4 goals as these scoring minded players led the way to a win. Jocelyn was named Team Captain for this game for an excellent performance during our last match. Very proud of all the midfielders during the Saturday match!

The forwards led by Kate and Ashley performed great as they kept the pressure on the opponents side of the field. Kate scored an excellent goal today kicking the ball in from the outside - beautiful strike and she nailed it! Ashley had an assist on goal scored in front of the net. Both forwards are showing excellent progression in the way they anticipate the play and run ahead of their midfielders awaiting passes for break away chances. All around solid performance from our Forwards this week - very proud of both them!!
